DESCRIPTION OF OUR GREAT EXPECTATIONS:
a) We seek to create awareness on the interference of mobile phones in the public sphere.
b) This piece must take place in a café, because a café is considered an intimate, quiet place, where people seek comfort, and they don’t expect bar-like behaviour, and they don’t expect people to walk around in the café or speak annoyingly loud.
c) We expect the spect-actors either to sit this uncomfortable situation out and just ignore the annoying person, or to actually react actively and tell the person to shut up and leave the café. A third option/reaction is of course that they would leave, them-selves.
PROJECT CARRIED OUT AND REACTIONS:
We carried out the invisible theatre at komma café. The reactions from the spect-actors were mixed: Some laughed at the situation and some left the café in protest. One of which we had foreseen, but actually we didn't expect laughter, though this is probably the most common reaction to something this absurd.
