The semester assignment

In this assignment you will create an urban adventure in the contemporary mobile interface culture.
The assignment runs over four weeks. This is in order to enable a process of reflection through practice. You should make several iterations of the concept as you alternate between readings, class and group work. We neither expect you to make several iterations of the project, nor do we expect you to make a pitch perfect project. We do, however, expect the assignment to be explicitly informed by what you have learned this semester.

Assignment plan

In order to make the process of the assignment more manageable, follow the steps below (and in this order):

  1. Come up with a concept
  2. Let the concept rest for a few days
  3. Meet up again and discuss, revise and refine the concept
  4. Fine-tune the concept with regards to readings and artworks presented in class (in other words make the concept academically reflected on and relevant for the courses)
  5. Implement/perform/execute the project and document
  6. Consider what you would change in the project if you had to make yet another iteration
  7. Present your project on the wiki using text, pictures, sound, video etc. The presentation should be understandable without any futher explanations.
  8. Prepare your presentation for class + prepare critique for your sister group
  9. Present / criticize

Deadlines

Intermediary deadline: March 18th @ 6:00 PM. Present the outcome of step 3 (or step 4 if you can) on the wiki.
Final deadline (step 7): April 8th @ 10:00 AM.

Assignment wording

The assignment has three parameters. It is important that you create/come up with your project in the order presented below. The exact wording of the assignment is decided through throws of dices, thereby completing the description below:
